just as a hint - using gstreamer and the just wonderful working "tutorial" of memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=308966
to rebuild all the stuff from scratch

videostreaming via tcp + display via vlc (f.e. "tcp://127.0.0.1:5000") works
(with a delay of about 2-3 seconds)
