A little research was in order...

The Raspberry Pi folks released an "M.2 HAT+" a while back. It connects to the exposed PCIe on the Pi5 and provides an M.2 connector for NVMe SSDs (or their AI module...your choice). There are any number of third party M.2 adapters. I tend to like the PiHut Pineboard Nano because you can use the official Pi5 case and put the lid on. Check back with the listings on PiShop.us. I'm reasonably sure they'll have the RPT M.2 HAT+ and may have other M.2 adapters as well. And they probably "suggested" getting a M.2 adapter when you selected the RPT SSD.

And note... M.2 adapter are inexpensive at typically under $15.

Here is the official adapter at PiShop.us: https://www.pishop.us/product/raspberry ... -for-pi-5/
