Yes, I see that it does not use i2c. It is the same as mine, and it works fine for me. However, none of the other breakout boards I mentioned have worked.The HC-SR04 that I have does not use I2C - is it the same as yours?
I am also using an I2C BMP280 with a pico - all fine.
Since this post, I brought a pico 2, and it still did not work (the hc sr04 once again worked)
I then tested my 4 peripherals on a raspberry pi 5 that I borrowed from a friend, and the i2c scan returned nothing. One of these sensors was brought only 2 weeks ago. Either I have been missing something this whole time, or something I did while testing broke all the sensors.
The only thing I can think of that could damage anything is accidentally connecting to 5v, which the hc sr04 uses. But the sensors themselves are 5v tolerant, the pico should not break so easily, and the raspberry pi 5 never had any of its pins connected to any 5v signal.
