ENC28J60 I use on a Pi0 because it has also a V1 Pi camera connected and the uUSB 10 and 100Mbps ones I bought were unreliable (often carrirer lost). About 3Mbps is max RTMP stream it can handle. It is small and cheap but a lot of work.
So for other use-cases where I don't need a flexible/programmable camera, I bought other brand SBC's that are better fit for the task and are even 4x Cortex-A7, so standard Debian possible. The total cost is similar and PCB is 1/4 of a Pi1B, just 1 USB type-A 1 100Mbps RJ45.
