As you know, there has been a new update to our beloved Chromium including a new package naming scheme (no longer chromium-browser but just chromium). However, i now realized that my "hw acceleration" is totally gone..
This really slows down Chromium and makes it impossible to open for example "google earth" or "google maps" in 3d.
I have tried a complete uninstall and then reinstall but it did not fix the problem. What fixed it for me was to "revert" to Chromium version 125 and now i have hw acceleration.
This is a big issue and i am really surprised that there has been no mention in the forum yet. This update came like a couple days ago. I can't be the only one affected by it.
I am on KDE Plasma on top of the latest RPIOS. I am running my desktop on X11, not wayland.
