I think you will find IIAB still comes with its own access point and as long as your device uses Ethernet to set the system up it's set up for you. (Sorry but it's been a while since I played with these devices)

Also have a look at a discussion on GitHub over the number of connections https://github.com/iiab/iiab/issues/823 ... -662285202 I'm not convinced over the numbers they got gave a usable system - I topped out at around 8 devices IIRC before seeing throughput drop. Note the firmware mentioned may not work on more modern OS versions (lots of things have changed since this article) or you may have to dig around to find it.

Please remember that the Pi Wi-Fi cannot be an access point for 2.4GHz AND 5GHz at the same time - safest to use 2.4GHz so all devices can connect unless you know all devices are modern.
