Best starting point would be a RPi5 desktop kit (approx £134 - The Pi Hut), everything to get going except a monitor, which could be your TV, it comes with a little book describing the computer & how to start coding, with some example code, (more will be found online) - that should keep him busy for a while. ![8-)]( "Cool")
