* removed (rmmod) various kernel modules to completely disable devices, like wifi and bluetooth
if you use both dtoverlay=disable-wifi and dtoverlay=disable-bt, then you will get a measurable drop in power usage
no need to remove any modules
* Tried turning off some PCI devices that powertop was reporting as 100% active, until the board froze
a number of the pci drivers dont take unloading well, its better to disable things in DT and make them never load in the first place

if you dont need gpio/ethernet/dsi/csi/fan, then you could disable the entire RP1 and keep it in reset, that might have some savings
Does Ethernet route through the RP1?

Is there any way to disable HDMI, Bluetooth and RP1 but leave Ethernet up?
